William Fitzpatrick

William J. Fitzpatrick, Jr., age 90, died at the Marion Manor in Taunton on January 7, 2025. He was the husband of the late Ann (Vignoni) Fitzpatrick. Born in Taunton on November 26, 1934, he was the son of the late William J. Fitzpatrick and Lillian H. (LaRocque) Fitzpatrick. Bill was educated in Taunton schools, a graduate of the class of 1952 from Taunton High School. He received an associate’s Degree in Accounting from Bentley College. Over the years Bill spent a career in hospital administration in various hospitals throughout New England, including Morton Hospital. He enjoyed life in the northern country of Vermont, New Hampshire and finally Skowhegan, Maine. He was an avid gardener and a great fan of the New England sports teams. Bill is survived by his four children: Dianne M. Gallagher of Pawtucket, RI; Rev James M. Fitzpatrick of Fall River; Jo-Ann Rodriques (Roy) of Taunton and Suzanne (Roger Medeiros) also of Taunton. He leaves his brother Paul J. Fitzpatrick (Marie) of Taunton; Marguerite McMullen of Northboro. He was the brother of the late Lois A. (Ralph) Hill. In addition Bill leaves five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are under the direction of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton and will be held at the convenience of the family.
