In Fall River, Wilfred Pelletier, age 81, passed away at St. Ann’s Hospital following a brief illness on April 1, 2026. Wilfred was the husband of Dorothea (Gendron) Pelletier. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Wilfred Pelletier and Mary (Dwyer) Medeiros and his step father Manuel Medeiros. Wilfred was educated in Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton Vocational High School. He served his country honorably while in The U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A lifetime resident of Taunton, and a longtime employee of Ryan Family Amusements in Raynham. Wilfred enjoyed listening to fifties music, working on cars, fishing, Saturday morning breakfast with his brothers, and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife Dorothea, Wilfred leaves his loving children Taylor and Sean Pelletier of Taunton, Paul Pelletier of Taunton, Paula Martin of East Taunton, Melissa Pelletier of Taunton, his siblings; Arthur Pelletier and his wife Debra of FL, Norman Pelletier and wife Rosanne of North Dighton, James Medeiros and wife Maureen of Taunton, Robert Medeiros and wife Penny of Taunton, Sandra Gagnon and husband Roland of Rehoboth, Louise Teixeira and husband Frank of Taunton, Sheryl Corey and her late husband Stephen of Taunton, and his late siblings; Rosalie Curry, Florence Collins, Patricia Reed, Gemma Pelletier, Jean Medeiros, Allen Pelletier, and Dennis Medeiros. Wilfred also leaves his beloved Grandchildren; Cory, Sadie, Neil, Paul Jr., Victoria, Alivia and his three Great Grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces , Nephews and cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held at the Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton on Friday, April 17th at 1 pm. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
