Walter Neto Oliveira

Walter Neto Sousa Oliveira born on June 28, 1935 at Sao Miguel, Azores passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on August 29, 2025. Son of the late Jose A. Rego Oliveira and Francelina (DeSousa) Oliveira. His siblings Maria Medeiros of Toronto and the late Armando Rego, Leanor Santos. He served in the Portuguese Military; he worked at Texas Instruments until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, sitting by the ocean and cooking. He was also a member of the Italian Club. He was the husband of the late Maria F. (Freitas) Oliveira. Survived by his children Mary Kuczwski and fiancé David Sousa of Taunton, Francine Laura of Attleboro, Carlos Oliveira of Taunton, Analia Oliveira of Florida, Carmen Johnson and her husband David of Taunton, Claudia Page of Taunton, Joseph F. Oliveira of Taunton, Luis Oliveira and his wife Kelly of Florida, Mario Oliveira of East Providence, Peter Oliveira of California, Walter Neto Oliveira Jr. of Middleboro and the late Joseph Oliveira and Victor Oliveira. He is survived by fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Brother in-law of Helena Rego of Fall River and Uncle of many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Anthony’s Church in Taunton on Thursday, September 4th at 11 AM. Interment St Josephs Cemetery in Taunton.
