Thomas Hutchins

In Middleboro, Thomas Hutchins, age 73, passed away peacefully in his home on January 20, 2026. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Gove) Hutchins of Middleboro, formerly of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Robert Hutchins and Bertha (Weeks) Miller. Thomas was educated in Taunton school system and was employed for 40 years at Rand McNally/Quad before retiring. Tom effortlessly won over everyone who met him with his authentic nature, quick wit, generosity, and unwavering work ethic. Tom enjoyed simple things in life: country music, playing cards, his motorcycle, his many dogs, and working in his yard. He was an accomplished carpenter and an avid Boston sports fan. Above all else, Tom loved his family and friends and wanted nothing more than to make their lives better and to enjoy every moment he spent with them. In addition to his wife Carol, Thomas leaves behind his loving children David Santos and his wife Heather of Swansea, Randy Hutchins and his wife Megan of Mooresville, N.C., Jodie Bouchard and her husband Seth of Taunton, and Jon Brunelle and his fiancé Catherine of Belmont, N.C. He also leaves his siblings Timothy Hutchins of Raynham, Patricia Baker of Taunton, and the late Daniel and Robert Hutchins. Thomas also leaves his grandchildren Hailey and Hannah Santos, Jacob Bouchard, Ivy and Phoenix Hutchins, and Alora and Corbin Brunelle. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lafayette Club, 18 Lakeview Ave., Taunton, MA on Sunday, February 1st from 12-4 pm.
