Theresa (McClellan) Poucel

Theresa Ann Poucel(McClellan), 93, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving children on Monday, January 20. Born and raised in Taunton, Theresa was the cherished daughter of Catherine (McGuiness)and Robert McClellan. She was predeceased by her sisters Agnes, Bernice, Catherine, Margaret, and Patricia and her brothers Robert, George, William, and Brian. Summers spent at the Cape in Falmouth were among Theresa’s greatest joys, where she found peace surrounded by her children, sisters, nieces and nephews, and the ocean. After high school, Theresa worked as an administrative assistant at both Balfour and Co. and Coyle High School. She later worked for many years at both Marian Manor and Morton Hospital. Theresa was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, a member of the Parent’s Guild, a lunch room monitor, and an active member of the school community. Theresa loved her children and grandchildren and was happiest when in their presence. She will be missed dearly and loved always by them all. Theresa is survived by her loving children, Robbin, Tricia, Bobby, and Stacey, and their spouses, Ralph, Tommy, and Kim. Theresa was also the proud and doting “Nanny” to Morgan, Daniel, and Taylor. She will also be greatly missed by her furry companion, Katie. Theresa will be remembered for her compassion and dedication to her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Native American Rights Fund(NARF) or the Taunton Animal Shelter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11:00am, at St. Anthony’s Church, School St., Taunton. Calling hours will also be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Tuesday from 9:00 until 10:30. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
