Susan Webster-Shurtleff, age 66, of Assonet and formerly of Taunton, peacefully passed away in her home on March 12, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gregory Shurtleff; her cherished sons, Matthew, Daniel, Christopher, and Benjamin; her adored daughter, Victoria; her sister, Catherine Rowley and brother Donald Webster Jr.. Susan was the daughter of the late Catherine and Donald Webster and was preceded in death by her siblings, Donna McRae, and MaryAnn Rogers. A proud graduate of Taunton High School, Susan continued her education, earning a degree from Newbury College in 1987. In her early adulthood, she served as an office manager at Sysco, but her greatest joy came when she dedicated herself to raising her family alongside Greg. An avid supporter of her children, Susan would often be found cheering them on at the baseball and soccer fields. She also generously offered her time to volunteer at Taunton Catholic Middle School, where she made a lasting impact on both students and faculty alike. In her leisure time, Susan loved to unwind with Greg, often enjoying takeout meals while relaxing on the beach or sitting by her pool with her dogs. Her home was a favorite gathering place for her children and their friends, especially during sunny days spent by the pool. Susan's warm and welcoming nature truly stood out during her annual 4th of July celebrations. She opened her home to friends and family, filling it with laughter and joy. Susan's efforts made the event one to remember for everyone who attended. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished moments that will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have spent time with her. Services will be private.
