Susan Kelly

Susan Ann (Aleixo) Kelly was finally reunited with the love of her life on January 26, 2025, her beloved husband Neil Kelly. She was the daughter of Edward F. and Lillian (Vieira) Aleixo. Susan’s courage, devotion to her family, and nurturing nature, was evident as she helped family members combat their own illnesses and bravely fought her own multi-year cancer battle. Susan never let her diagnosis slow her down. She loved to go on cruises, read books at the beach, create large family meals, and keep up with current events. Susan graduated from Taunton High School and received her teaching degree from Bridgewater State College. She met Neil Kelly in Norton, MA. They were married at St. Joseph's Church with a reception in Tiverton, Rhode Island. During a long and varied career, Susan worked as a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, a substitute teacher at Taunton Catholic Middle School, a Delta Airlines gate agent, and a Verizon customer service specialist. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Susan’s legacy of love will be cherished by all her family and friends who had the privilege of sharing in her incredible journey. Arrangements were handled by the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Services were private at the request of the family.
