In Taunton, Stephen Gotham, age 80, passed away at Morton Hospital unexpectedly following a period of failing health, while surounded by his loving family on January 8, 2026. Stephen was the husband of the late AnnMarie (Pistolese) Gotham He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Edward S. Gotham and Gertrude (Frazier) Gotham. Stephen was a lifetime resident of Taunton. He worked for W.H. Riley & Son Company and later for Paul Dever State School until his retirement. He was a member of the Italian Club and the P.A.C.C., and a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Norton. Stephen enjoyed listening to music, dancing, cooking, visiting casinos, bowling, Boston sports, and above all cherished his time with family. Stephen leaves his beloved children Kim Johnson and her husband David of Taunton and Stephen Gotham of West Island, Fairhaven. He is survived by his sister Ann Thomas of N.Y. Stephen also leaves his loving grandchildren: Matthew, Robert, Tyler, Erica, and Danielle, and his great grandchildren: Konnor, Austin, Julian, Brynlee, and Alfie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, Jan 12th from 5-7 pm. Funeral from O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 13th at 9:30am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Norton at 11 am.
