In Brockton, Salvatore J. Scibetta, age 84, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital following a period of declining health on February 23, 2025. Salvatore was the husband of the late Paula M. (Mola) Scibetta. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Gaetano Scibetta and Rose (Gusmini) Scibetta. Salvatore had been residing in Brockton recently and was formerly of Taunton. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Army. Salvatore was employed for U.P.S. as a truck driver and also for Plymouth Water Works. He enjoyed watching and rooting for all the Boston sports teams, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, playing cards, his cars, and above all cherished his time with family. Salvatore is survived by his loving children; Gail Scioscia and her husband Michael of Holbrook, Lance Scibetta of New Hampshire, Robyn Richardi of Taunton, Carmen Richardi of Westport, Anthony Richardi and his wife Mary O’Connell of Taunton, and Mandy Richardi of Taunton. He also leaves beloved grandchildren; Jennifer Guerra and husband Glen, Michael Scioscia and his wife Amanda, Oliver Richardi and great grandchildren; Annabella and Angelina. Salvatore leaves his sister Linda Connolly and her husband Joseph of Brockton, and his late siblings; Albert Scibetta, Guy Scibetta, Luis Scibetta, Roberta Richloff and also several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with honors will take place at the Bourne National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
