R. Patti Marshall passed away at home on Sunday, December 28th at the age of 71. She was born in Taunton and raised in Berkley, remaining a lifelong resident. She graduated from Dighton-Rehoboth High School in 1972. Patti worked at Raytheon for many years before starting her family and later worked in the Tax Collector’s Office, at The Billy Club and volunteered as an EMT in Berkley. She was the daughter of the late David E. Marshall of Berkley and Mabel (Townsend) Moynihan of Dighton. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Chaves, of Rehoboth and son, Evan Chaves, of Berkley, her grandchildren Austin, Codie and Rylee and her sisters Valerie Marshall, Sharon Hancock and Erika Banalewicz. She will also be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her greatest gifts in her life were her three grandchildren. Some of the things that brought her the most joy were attending the sporting events of her grandsons, the dance recitals of her granddaughter and simply spending time with her family as often as possible. She enjoyed playing the guitar and tried her hardest to never miss a Celtics or a Patriots game and was an avid fan of Nascar. Visiting Hours will be held at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on January 10th from 9:30-11:00 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Internment at Fox Cemetery in Berkley will take place immediately after.
