Phyllis Medeiros

In Taunton, Phyllis Medeiros, age 84, passed away at Marion Manor Nursing Home on July 14, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Medeiros. Phyllis was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Jules Garon and Theresa (Coughlin) Garon. Phyllis resided all her life in Taunton, she attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. She worked for the City of Taunton in the assessor’s office until her retirement. Phyllis enjoyed reading, spending time in Florida and in Plymouth, MA at their cottage, playing cards, scrabble and watching her favorite show Wheel of Fortune, above all Phyllis loved spending time with family, especially her beloved Grandchildren. Phyllis leaves her loving daughter Patricia “Patti” Amaral of Taunton, and her pre deceased children Richard Scott Medeiros and Lori Sergio. She also leaves her Grandchildren: Thomas Sergio, Kasi Amaral, Wendy Medeiros, and her Great Grandchildren: Emma, Ava, and Michael. She was the sister of the late Theresa Flannery, and leaves her two nieces Diane Padula and Debra Hayes. Funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, July 20th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 9:30-11 am. Burial will be in the family lot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
