In Brockton, Norman P. Lawson, age 83, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital following a brief illness on July 31, 2024. Norman was the husband of Barbara (Collins) Lawson of East Taunton. He was born in Brockton, the son of the late Elmer Lawson and Claurice (Allen) Lawson.
Norman was educated in Brockton schools and a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1959. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. Norman worked for many years at the former Cape Cod Cricket Lane Company. He enjoyed scratch tickets, taking walks with his dog “Hogan” and spending time with his family, especially his loving grandchildren.
Norman is survived by his children; Melissa Pitts, Jill Andrews, and Michael Lawson and his wife Jessica. He also leaves his grandchildren; Taylor Pitts, Kyle Pitts, Jacob Andrews, Michael Lawson Jr., Tyler Lawson, Sadie Lawson, and his late grandson Matthew Pitts. Norman was the brother of; Ronald Lawson, William Lawson, Joan McKinley, Linda Murphy, Frederick Lawson, Marjorie Ventola, and Dale Carpenter.
