In Taunton, Maurie Neronha, age 80, passed away peacefully at the Arbors on January 2, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family. Maurie was the wife of the late Wilbur Barth and her first beloved husband Roland Neronha. She was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Leo Deslauriers and Julia (Perry) Deslauriers. Maurie was brought up in Dighton and raised her family in Swansea. She attended Dighton schools and also attended Sacred Heart Academy of Fall River. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted housewife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with family. Maurie also enjoyed scrap booking, reading, loved animals and being outdoors with nature. Maurie is survived by her beloved children; Donna Anusczcyk and her husband Scott of Dighton, Dianne Murphy and husband Mike of Kissimmee, FL, Michael Neronha and wife Sharon of Brownfield, ME, Christopher Neronha of Somerset, Joseph Neronha and wife Maria of Davenport, FL, and Edward Neronha and wife Jodi of Tiverton, RI. She was the sister of Helene Travis of Dighton and loving grandmother to 16 and 14 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Nicholas of Myra Church in North Dighton on Saturday, Jan. 6th at 10 am. The family will be there at 9:30 am. to receive Maurie’s friends.
