Maureen A. Rose Obituary – April 16, 1936 – July 19, 2026 Maureen (Gove) (Perry) Rose of Taunton passed away on July 19, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Rose Sr. Maureen was born in Taunton on April 16, 1936 to the late Willis H. and Helen M. (Ryan) Gove. She graduated from Taunton High School, Class of 1954. Maureen was a member of the Reunion Committee and participated in raising money for scholarships for her alma mater. Prior to her retirement in 1999, Maureen was employed at the Taunton District Court as a Sessions Clerk for 25 years. She was previously employed as a hairdresser in several salons in Taunton while raising her four children. She graduated from the Mansfield Beauty Academy in Boston in 1955. Maureen enjoyed watching all the Red Sox and Patriots games on TV. She was a great fan! She also enjoyed working around her home and yard, and in her younger days traveling with her husband Richard. She and her husband also enjoyed Ballroom dancing and attending the many sports activities of their children and grandchildren. Maureen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of her good friends. She attended Holy Family Church in East Taunton and was a former member of the Church Choir, Merle's Bible Study and she volunteered for Adoration on a weekly basis. Maureen leaves behind one son, David C. Perry and his wife Joanne of Bridgewater, and a daughter, Patte Perry of Spring Lake, N.J. She also leaves behind two stepchildren: Richard Rose Jr. and his wife Jackie, and Deborah Rose and her companion Arthur Machado, five grandchildren: Richard J. Perry II, Jennifer Perry, Amanda Rae Barlow (Jacinto) and her wife Ashlee, Brett Rose and Amber Rose, and five great-grandchildren: Gavin and Camilla Wetherell, Dylan Jacinto, Aaron Barlow and Althea Barlow. Maureen was predeceased by her son Richard J. Perry, her daughter Mary Beth Jacinto, and her grandson Aaron J. Jacinto. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Tuesday, July 28th at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
