Mary V. Hudson

In Taunton, Mary V. Hudson, age 95, passed away in her home on May 11, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was the wife of the late Norman Hudson Jr. of Raynham. She was born in Raynham, the daughter of the late Edward Murby and Isabel (Lodge) Murby. Mary had resided in Taunton the past 62 years and was formerly of Raynham. She was educated in Raynham schools. Mary was employed for Morton Hospital for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed singing, dancing, cooking, visiting LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro, loved her dog Charlie, and above all cherished the time with her family. Mary leaves her beloved children; Patricia Kent and her companion Francis McGlaughlin of Dighton, Sheila M. Gunderson and husband Keith of Taunton, Lisa D. Lira and husband Jose of Taunton, and her late son Michael J. Hudson and his surviving spouse Cynthia Lee Hudson of Taunton. She also leaves her loving grandchildren; Angela Hudson, Christopher J. Kent, Craig S. Kent, Amanda Depin and husband Matthew, Jenna Gunderson, Katelyn Lira, Ryan Gunderson, Michael Lira, Kyla McGlaughlin, and William McGlaughlin, and her 7 great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her siblings; Francis, Edward, Raymond, and William Murby. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, May 24th from 9-10 am. Followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11 am. Burial is private at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pawtucket, RI.
