In Raynham, Mary Gorman, age 95, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024 at the All American Assisted Living at Raynham while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, William J. Gorman Sr. She was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Peter Moura and Maria (Correia) Moura. Mary had been a longtime Taunton resident. She attended schools in Warren, RI. Mary was employed at many local businesses including; New York Lace Store, Bank of Taunton, and the Taunton Antique Center. She had a strong faith, was a Eucharistic minister, and a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mary enjoyed her work, discussing politics, listening to the Red Sox, and above all cherished her time with family. Mary leaves her beloved children; Katie Gorman of East Taunton, Anne Richards of Middleboro, Thomas Gorman of Taunton, Carol Smith of East Taunton and husband Peter, and her late son Bill Gorman. She also leaves her grandchildren; Samantha Richards, Quinn Richards and spouse Chris Babb, Jack, Abraham, Henry, Harriet, Mabel, and Jubilee Smith. She was preceded in death by her sister Irma Bush. We would like to thank Mary’s caregivers Sue, Olivia, Lori and Judy and the staff at All American Assisted Living namely Anna, Darlene and Michelle. A memorial mass will be celebrated at the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton on Friday, August 2nd at 11 am. Visiting hours are kindly omitted. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Mary’s last gift was donating herself to the Boston University Anatomical Gifts Program.
