In Providence, RI, Martin E. Moberg, age 76, passed away on December 30, 2023 while surrounded by those that loved him. He was born in Brockton, the son of the late Elmer Moberg and Muriel (Willis) Moberg.
Martin had resided in Taunton since 1970 and was formerly of Brockton and Easton. He served his country honorably while in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Martin drove taxi, was a Constable, worked at Alden Auto Parts, and later drove truck for both Pepsi Cola and J.P. Noonan Trucking.
Martin enjoyed maintaining his truck, always keeping it in showroom condition. He loved showing it off at local car shows and even snow plowed with it. He loved watching the Red Floppies lose, watching local sports teams, car racing, wrestling, watching comedy. Martin mostly will be remembered for being a devoted and hard working man who never called in sick, took pride in his jobs, and above all loved his dog “Penny”, his family and watching his grandchildren play.
Martin leaves his beloved children Jean Silvia and her husband Kevin of Sarasota. FL. and Robin Courcy and her partner Fred of Taunton. He also was the brother of the late Edgar Moberg and his surviving wife Ann. Martin leaves his grandchildren; Joshua Anderson and fiancée Samantha Cravero of Taunton, Jessie Anderson of FL, Christopher Courcy and Emily Courcy both of Taunton, and his three great grandchildren. Martin also leaves his nieces and nephews who referred to him as the “Cool Uncle”
