Maria (Pacheco) Melo

In Taunton, Maria (Pacheco) Melo, age 92, passed away in her home on September 22, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family. Maria was the wife of the late Eduardo Melo. She was born in St. Michael, Portugal, the daughter of the late Pedro Pacheco and Maria (Cadete) Pacheco. Maria was a longtime resident of Taunton and formerly of Brazil and St. Michael, Portugal. Maria was educated in schools in Portugal. She was a former employee of Texas Instruments in Attleboro. Maria enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and spending time with family. Maria was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Maria Lucinda Demelo Loras. She leaves her loving grandson and caretaker Nelson Loras of Taunton. Maria also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, September 27th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Church in Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7 pm.
