Manuel DaCosta

In Taunton, Manuel DaCosta, age 91, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family on November 16, 2024. Manuel was the husband of the late Maria DaCosta. He was born in St. Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Moses DaCosta and Maria (Jesus) DaCosta. Manuel had been a resident of Taunton since 1967. He was employed as a machine operator for several local companies. Manuel was a former Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Committee member, he enjoyed gardening, making his own wine, and spending time with his family. Manuel is survived by his beloved children; Maria Barao and her husband Frank of Fall River, Angelina Amaral and her husband Roberto of Taunton and Steven DaCosta of Taunton. He also leaves his loving granddaughter Ashley Correia of Taunton. He also leaves his siblings; Maria De Ceu of Portugal, Conseicao DaCosta of Portugal, Armando Costa of Canada, and the late Maria De Luz, and also several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, November 21st at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at  Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-7 pm.
