Louis Areias

In Taunton, Louis Areias, age 81, passed away at Morton Hospital unexpectedly on September 3, 2025. Louis was the husband of Jane (Booth) Areias of Taunton. He was born in Terceira, Portugal, the son of the late Matthew Areias and Lucille Areias. Louis had been a resident of Taunton since 1952 and was educated in Taunton schools. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Sullivan Office Supply in Taunton. Louis enjoyed quahogging and clamming, bowling, walking his dog “Jasper” maintaining his yard, and above all cherished his time with family. In addition to his beloved wife Jane, Louis leaves his loving children Mark Areias and wife Megan of Taunton, and Amy Burgo and husband Duane of Taunton. He also leaves his grandchildren; Jaylie, Kylie, and Dwayne Burgo Jr. and Zack and Phoebe Areias. He also leaves his sister Mary Silva of Taunton and late siblings; John, Joe, Ivo, Matthew, and Lucy. He also leaves his two brother in laws and three sister in laws and 14 nieces and nephews. Funeral home services are private at the request of the family.
