Lois (Hayes) Travers

In Peabody, Lois Travers, age 91, passed away peacefully at the Care One Peabody on March 4, 2024, following a period of declining health. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Edward Travers of Raynham. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Francis Hayes and Wilhelmina (Owen) Hayes. Lois was educated in Boston schools. She had been a resident of Raynham before having to be cared for at the Care One Peabody, and was formerly of Melrose. Lois enjoyed going to casinos with her husband, traveling, taking cruises, and spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her beloved children; Linda Faass and her husband Chuck of Melrose, and Jeffrey Cohen and his wife Nancy of Rowley, MA, and her late son James “Jim” Cohen. She also leaves her  brother Owen Hayes and his wife Hazel and her late siblings; Margie, Robert, and Francis. She also leaves her 4 loving grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral home services will be private at the request of the family. Her private graveside service will be held at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
