Lila Alvilhiera

In Taunton, Lila Alvilhiera, age 82, passed away peacefully at Morton Hospital on November 17, 2025. Lila was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late William Dickson and Jeannette (Wilbur) Dickson. Lila had resided in Taunton most of her life. She attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School, class of 1962. Lila enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, taking cruises, listening to music, attending family gatherings, watching the Patriots, and spending time with friends and family. Lila is survived by her loving children Kimberly Mello and her husband Edward, Anthony Alvilhiera, and the late John Alvilhiera, and beloved grandson Branden Alvilhiera She was the former wife of the late MSgt. Anthony J. Alvilhiera. She also leaves her siblings; Patti Dalpe and her husband Richard, William Dickson, sister in laws; Anne McGann, Teresa Amaral, Linda Alvilhiera, and several late brother and sister in laws. Lila leaves several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Lila’s family also wishes to express much love and gratitude to the many wonderful friends whom she shared many adventures and travel experiences in her retirement years.
