Laura J Morrison

In Taunton, Laura Jean Morrison, born August 13, 1935, passed away at home on November 28, 2025 following a long battle with cancer. Laura was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Raymond Dion and Louise (Sarvia) Dion. She was an avid gardener and Red Sox fan, she adored her family and loved to spend holidays with them. After retiring from Bay State Gas in 2000 she was a foster grandmother for Head Start of Taunton for many years and also volunteered at both Morton Hospital and the Soup Kitchen. Laura is survived by her Son: Richard H. Morrison Jr. and his Wife Kathleen A. Morrison of Taunton, 3 Grandsons: Neil M.M. Morrison and wife Paula, Great Grandson Cole and great Granddaughters Avery and Gianna of Taunton, Eric J. Morrison and wife Emily Treano of Taunton, and Kyle R. Morrison and Sarah Lanica of Los Angeles, her late Daughter Karen J. Cataldo and husband Robert Cataldo of Sandwich, Grandson James Cataldo of Attleboro and Steve Cataldo and wife Kami of Gilbert, Arizona, Son Gary Morrison of Brockton, Son David Morrison of Bridgewater and Grand Daughter Emily Vallerand and Husband John from Burlington, MA. Predeceased by her Brother and Sisters: Natalie Wells, Raymond Dion, Dorthy (Dolly) Ratcliff, Katherine (Katie) Lynch, Bernice Depot, Louise Volner, and several Nieces and Nephews. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton on Thursday, December 4th 11 am The procession will be leaving from O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home at 10:30 am Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
