In Bridgewater, Karen Madrigale, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on December 9, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family. Karen was the loving wife of Gilbert A. Madrigale of Bridgewater. She was born in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (Mains) Garnon. Karen resided in Erie, PA before leaving with her husband to MA. She was educated in Erie schools and was a graduate of Academy High School, where she met the love of her life Gilbert. Karen moved with her husband to Bridgewater in 1967 where they raised their four children. She worked as a computer programmer. Karen had many hobbies and they centered around crafts, which included; needlepoint, cross stitch, and knitting to mention a few of them, loved traveling with her husband to Aruba. Hosting parties for their friends and family and above all cherished her time with family. Karen is survived by her beloved children; Sherrie Costa and her husband Joseph of Raynham, Lauren Lang of Bridgewater, Noelle Robinson of East Taunton, and her late son Gilbert A. Madrigale Jr. and widow Devin Miller. She also leaves her grandchildren; Kyle, Linsie, Tony, Kathryn, Emily, Isabella, Jackson, and great grandchildren; Rylie and Daniel. Karen also leaves her siblings; Dr. Frederick Garnon of PA, David Garnon of PA, and the late Linda Garnon. Funeral from the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, Dec. 14th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Center St. in Bridgewater at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Friday from 5-7 pm.
