Karen (Bosse) Bowes

In Taunton, Karen (Bosse) Bowes, age 66, passed away suddenly following a brief period of declining health on July 29, 2026. Karen leaves her beloved husband of 28 years Thomas Bowes of Taunton. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Richard Bosse and Gertrude (Baxter) Bosse. Karen had been a Taunton resident for 30 years and was formerly of South Boston. She was educated in Boston schools and graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School for Girls in South Boston. Karen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing word puzzles, visiting Castle Island in Boston, and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband Thomas, Karen leaves her children: Eric Gunter of Austin, Texas, Chris Gunter of Taunton, Scott Gunter of Taunton, Michelle Bowes of Rockland, and Tom Bowes of Tennessee. She also leaves her siblings: Rick Bosse of Wareham, Steve Bosse of Plymouth, Bob Bosse of Taunton, Sue Brennan of Taunton, and the late Darlene Lussier and Dan Bosse. Karen also leaves her cherished 14 Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild, and her late dog “Brady”. Funeral home visitation will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA, 02780 on Tuesday, August 4th from 10-11 am. A funeral home service will be held at 11 am. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
