In Taunton January 6, 2005 Josephine L. (Milka) McCarthy died at age 87 after a brief illness. Wife of the late Thomas McCarthy. Residence Dean St. formerly of Vernon St. in Taunton. Mother of Carol Mederois & her husband Ronald Oliveira of Taunton, Thomas McCarthy Jr. & his wife Ellen of Taunton. Grandmother of Mary Ellen Leville of Berkley, Thomas McCarthy III of Berkley, Deborah Warner of Berkley, Karen McCarthy of Taunton, Michael Mederois of Taunton, Susan Mederois of Taunton & 7 great grandchildren. Sister of Veronica Custer, Matilda Wade, Jean Walker, Edwina Piekarski, Eleanor Baptiste, Frank Milka & the late Helen Perry and Matthew Milka. Also survived by several neices and nephews. Funeral from the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Tuesday January 10th at 8am. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church at 9am. Relatives and friends are kindley invited to visiting hours on Monday from 4-7pm. Interment in the family lot St. Joseph's Cemetery in Taunton.
