In Taunton, Joanne Hamm, age 88, of Taunton passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Albert Platt and Mary (Maloney) Platt. Joanne attended the Randolph School for the Deaf. She loved to play bingo, go to the casino, watch wrestling, cops and funny videos, and crocheting. Above all she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her Grandchildren. Joanne is survived by her three sons: Robert Hamm and wife Donna of Raynham, Raymond Hamm, Patrick Hamm and his wife Maria all of Taunton and the late Annette Cote and Deborah Hamm. She also leaves behind several Grandchildren that she cherished: Courtney Spriggs and husband Aaron of Holiday, FL, Amber Cote-Covert and husband Matt of West Roxbury, Patrick Hamm and wife Theresa of Brockton, Matthew Hamm and wife Morgan, Tyler Hamm, Kayla Hamm all of Taunton, Nicole Hamm and fiancé Matt Sly of Rehoboth, and Kyle Hamm of Raynham and her late granddaughter Paige E. Hamm. She was the sister of Rita Bettencourt of Taunton. A graveside service will be held at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton on Saturday, June 27th at 11 AM.
