James Monteiro

In Taunton, James Monteiro, age 65, passed away at home unexpectedly on April 22, 2025. James was born and was a lifetime resident of Taunton, the son of Ann (DeChamplain) of Taunton and the late John Teixeira. James attended Taunton schools and was a Taunton High School Graduate, he also attended Stonehill College. He enjoyed playing and watching hockey, fishing, playing pool. Riding ATV’s and dirt bikes, and spending time with family. James worked as a truck driver until his health allowed. James is survived by his loving son Jordan Monteiro of Taunton. He leaves his sister Susan Monteiro of Taunton and niece Kara Sears. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, April 29th from 9-10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton at 11 am. will be held at 11 am. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
