James G Lucey

In Boston, James G. Lucey, age 73, passed away unexpectedly at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on August 4, 2024. James was born in Taunton, the son of the late John F. Lucey and Dorothea (Prairie) Lucey. James had resided in Taunton his entire life. He attended Taunton schools, was a graduate of Coyle High School and also Providence College in RI. James was an employee of the Bristol County Registry of Deeds until his retirement. He enjoyed dining out, shopping, attending family gatherings and spending time with family, and was a devoted and caring son and caretaker to his mother in her late years. James is survived by his siblings; Mary Jane Pontes and her husband Thomas of Milton, John Lucey Jr. of Lakeville, and Paul D, Lucey of Atlantic Beach, FL. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private at the request of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the O'Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.  Burial will be in the family lot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
