In Stoughton, July 31, 2026 James F. “Papa Hogie” Hogan Sr. loving husband of Denise (Vallieres) Hogan of fifty six years died with his family by his side at The Center at Blue Hills. He was the son of the late John and Anna (Piekarski) Hogan. James was a retired U.S. Army Veteran who served his country in Vietnam as well as a military police officer. He was an avid golfer, loved Tai Chi and visits with his friends and family. James was the loving father of Donna (Hogan) St. Onge and her husband Stephen of Barnstable, Jacqueline (Hogan) Toupin of Oceanside, CA and James F. Hogan Jr. and his wife Kristen of Easton. He leaves behind seven wonderful grandchildren whom he loved very much Alexander Toupin, Rochelle St. Onge, Colin Toupin, Brett Barger, Kevin Barger, Alexa Barger and Madigan Hogan. James was the brother of the late Eugene Hogan and Anna LaBrie. He also leaves a special niece Annette LaBrie. A celebration of life will be held at The Lafayette Club, 18 Lakeview Ave in Taunton on Friday, August 28th from 4-8 PM.. In lieu of flowers donations in James memory may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project and Ride 22, https://www.ride22.org.
