James Berry Obituary

Jim Berry, 74, passed away very unexpectedly on February 6 in Taunton. Originally from Huntington Indiana, he was a graduate of Purdue University, & a long standing member of Sigma Nu fraternity & the alumni rugby team. He spent most of his career working in the biotech/medical construction industry as a senior business development executive, retiring in 2020. Jim achieved his goal of hiking the entirety of the Appalachian Trail & was an avid cyclist. Even in his retirement he pedaled on his Peloton for miles daily. Jim met & married the love of his life, Kitty, in 1982, & they built a home in North Attleboro where they lived happily until moving back to Taunton, Kitty’s hometown, in 2010. Jim is survived by his wife Kitty (Susan Horgan) & his precious cat, Paddington, who misses him terribly. He was predeceased by his parents. Paul & Lucille (Eckert) Berry, his brother Dave Berry, his in-laws Louise (Phipps) & Roger Emond & Robert Horgan. Visitation & a brief service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Wednesday, February 18th from 9:30- 11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM. Interment will be private. ALWAYS IN MY HEART FOREVER MISSED ENDLESSLY LOVED
