In Attleboro, Harold Benson Jr., age 90, passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital on March 5, 2024 following a period of failing health. Harold was the husband of Helen (Levesque) Benson. He was born in Pawtucket, RI, the son of the late Harold Benson Sr. and Zanna (Monroe) Benson. Harold was educated in Pawtucket, RI, He was a resident of Plainville the past 2 years and was formerly of Blackstone. Harold served his country honorably while in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as an auto mechanic and later as the service manager for Cerrone Oldsmobile in Attleboro. Harold enjoyed working on cars, maintaining his yard, and spending time with his family and friends. Harold is survived by his son, Michael Benson of Weare, NH, his siblings, Josie, Phoebe, and the late Alan Benson. Harold also leaves his beloved grandchildren; Ashley, Chelsea, Samantha, and Seth. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA, 02780 on Monday, March 18th from 10-11 AM. Burial will be private.
