Edward J. Doyle

Edward J. Doyle, 93, of Taunton, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 12, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 73 years, Margaret “Peggy” Doyle. Father of Edward Doyle and his wife Maryanne of Hanson, Cherie Sousa and her husband Antonio of Taunton, Margaret Flaven and her husband Brian of Taunton. Brother of the late Dorothea Shea, Patricia Comeau, Lorraine Pike, June McDonough, Saundra Kelly, John, James, and William Doyle. He is a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Randolph. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending his mornings at the John F. Parker Golf Course. He was most proud of his family, especially being “Papa” and “Grandpa”to John Sousa, Michael Sousa, Jake Doyle, James Doyle, Nicholas Sousa, Patrick Sousa, Katherine Sousa-Murthy, Samantha Flaven, and Brendan Flaven. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, March 16th from 8:30-10:15 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Norton at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
