SEEKONK, MA - Domenic “Buddy” Melito Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI surrounded by family on May 19, 2026. He was born in Boston and raised in Norton, the son of the late Domenic Melito Sr. and Louise (McDonald) Forrest. Domenic was a resident of Seekonk. He was educated in Norton schools. Domenic was the owner and operator of the former Bristol Farms restaurant in Norton. He enjoyed cars, especially convertibles, motorcycles, visiting the cape, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. Domenic leaves his devoted daughter Tanya DeCosta of Attleboro, his former wife and friend Sandra (White) Boudreau of Attleboro, siblings: Dorothy Kroger and husband John of FL, Michelle Simmons and her companion Keith Robinson of North Dighton, Beverly Melito and partner Randy Santos of Taunton, Mary O’Brien and husband Robert Baker of Taunton, Stephen Melito and wife Mary of NC, and the late James Melito, his Grandchildren: Brian DeCosta Jr. of Attleboro, Steven DeCosta and wife Lauryn of Cumberland, RI, Sarah DeOrsey and husband Paul of Attleboro, his great Grandchildren: Franklin, Declan, Dorothy, and Simon. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral home visitation will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, May 28th from 10-11 am. A funeral home service will be at 11 am Burial at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. In lieu of flowers donations in Domenic's memory may be made to Doorways Food Pantry, P.O.
