David J. Sullivan

Raynham -- David Sullivan passed away on October 16, 2024 after a brief illness at Saint Anne’s Hospital surrounded by family. David was born on July 1, 1960 in Taunton at Morton Hospital to Diana (Ventura) and the late Robert Sullivan. He attended Coyle and Cassidy High School in Taunton. He spent his life working in the service industry, most recently working at Vino’s Family Cafe in Rehoboth where he had many regular customers and co-workers who became great friends. David was known for his feisty personality. He was loud, honest and opinionated but would make you laugh constantly. Dave would make friends wherever he went and was extremely loyal to those he was closest to. He was an amazing chef and he loved cooking for his family during the holidays and throughout the years. David was an involved and caring Uncle and Great Uncle to his nieces and nephews . He was always making sure everyone had candy and a laugh. He loved his cats fiercely and always spoiled them as much as he could. He was a member of the AA community and proudly sober for many years. He was a firecracker and will be missed dearly by so many. David is survived by his beloved Mother Diana Sullivan, loving sister Patricia (Sullivan) and her husband Peter Medeiros of Taunton; his nephews and niece, Matthew Medeiros of Boston; Jacob Medeiros of Seale, AL; Rachel (Medeiros) and Kurt Gerold of Hull; Great nephews and Niece Elijah, Margaret and Samuel Gerold and many other close friends and relatives. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Monday October 21st at 9 AM followed by a mass of Christian burial at St Anthony’s Church in Taunton at 10 AM. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 PM. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
