David Arruda

In Taunton, David Arruda, age 72, passed away at Morton Hospital on May 19, 2025 following a period of declining health. David was preceded in death by his wife June (Raymond) Arruda. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Antone Arruda and Marjorie (Rusconi) Arruda. David was a lifetime resident of Taunton. He was educated in Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. He was employed as a correction officer for the Commonwealth of MA until his retirement. David was resident of East Taunton since 1984 and formerly of Taunton. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family. He was the father of the late Hayley Arruda. David is survived by his granddaughter Mikayla Beech of East Taunton, his siblings; Michael Arruda of Taunton, Deborah Rudy of FL, Brian Arruda of Taunton, and Kimberly Heney of Wareham. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. David’s services are private at the request of the family.
