Charlotte Morse Obituary

Mrs. Charlotte A. (Gammons) Morse of East Taunton died on July 6, 2024 following a long battle with cancer. Charlotte passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones and pets. She was the beloved wife of James M. Morse for 60 years. She was born in Boston, MA to the late Charles H. and Anna (Salvatore) Gammons. Charlotte was a resident of East Taunton for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Charlotte was employed at the Gillette Company in Boston for 20 years and was a consultant at Ocean Spray Cranberries for 4 years. Charlotte lived a beautiful and vibrant life. She loved to spend time with her family; especially her two great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She loved watching sports and television with her husband and daughter, sitting with and sharing stories with her granddaughter, her many phone calls and visits with her sister and grandson, and traveling with her family and friends. She was a huge animal lover and enjoyed her beloved cats, especially Abby who never left her side, and her sweet grand puppies Cooper, Harper (the Doodles) and Bruin. In addition to her husband, Charlotte leaves behind one daughter, Valerie A. Morse of East Taunton, two grandchildren, Jean-Marie D. (Doyle) Finn of East Taunton, her husband Nikolas, and their two children Nora and Ezra, and Shane W. Doyle of Middleboro, as well as one sister Florence M. (Gammons) Cadillic and her husband David of Middleboro. Charlotte also leaves behind her cousin Paul Donahue of New Hampshire, her only goddaughter Lori Reynolds (Ludovina) of Berkley, and her lifelong friends Elizabeth Jones of Norton, Arlene Rose of Falmouth, and Joanne Ludovina of East Taunton. Charlotte loved to laugh and make people laugh, and was full of life and joy. Charlotte was adored by so many and had a magnetic personality that endeared her to everyone around her. She was truly an incredibly brave, loving, strong, beautiful woman who will be wholeheartedly missed. The family would like to thank Old Colony Hospice for the incredible and meaningful end of life support they provided to the family and Charlotte.
