Charlotte (Rocha) Dever, 91, transitioned peacefully to her eternal peace at home in Taunton, MA, on May 17, 2026. She was born to Palmera (Machado) and Arthur Rocha in Lowell, MA, and lived most of her life in Taunton. A beloved matriarch, she was constantly surrounded by love and family. She was known for her unmatchable hospitality and generosity. An avid gardener, her yard was a sanctuary and brought her great joy. Most of all, however, Charlotte's greatest source of joy was her family. She joins the love of her life, Gerard Dever, Sr., her son Peter, and her siblings Eleanor, Raymond, and Arthur. Charlotte is survived by her sister Carole, children Gerard Dever, Jr. and wife Janet of Taunton, Theresa Correia and husband Michael of Middleboro and Sharon Maynard and husband Donald of East Taunton, her loving grandchildren; Michelle DiMarzio and husband Michael, Christine Stokely and husband Tyrone, Peter Rocha and wife Kristy, Brian Correia and wife Rebecca, Jessica Ghanbari and husband Najad, Bridget Bourque and her husband Matthew and Michaela Maynard, great grandchildren; Emily, Noah, Grant, Grace, Taj, Evelyn, Claire, Inara, Andre’, Noelle, Azad, and Danielle. A funeral home service will be held privately at the OKeefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Taunton.
