Cecelia J Mulcahy

In Taunton, Cecelia J. Mulcahy, age 91, passed away at The Arbors in Taunton following a lengthy illness on May 13, 2025. Cecelia was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Howard Mulcahy and Celia (Riley) Mulcahy. Cecelia had resided in Taunton most of her life. She was educated in Taunton schools and a graduate of Taunton High School. She later went on to obtain her master’s degree in education. Cecelia took her vows in the Catholic order and became a Nun. She then taught at the Holy Union of the Sacred Heart in NY from 1962 to 1972. Cecelia then went on to teach for the City of Taunton at Hopewell School from 1972 to 1995 when she retired. Cecelia enjoyed arts and crafts, was a talented seamstress, walking, was always there to help others that were in need, loved her family and the time spent together, especially her beloved nieces and nephews. Cecelia is survived by her nieces and nephews. She was the sister of her late siblings; Katherine Gagnon, Margaret Boiros, Elizabeth Spenard, John Mulcahy, Richard Mulcahy, Howard Mulcahy, James Mulcahy, Frank Mulcahy, and Ted Mulcahy. Funeral services are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Her services are private at the request of the family.
