Carol M Keith

In Sandwich, Carol M. Keith, age 89, passed away peacefully at the McCarthy Care Center on February 8, 2025 following a lengthy period of declining health. Carol leaves her devoted and loving husband of 40 years, Michael Keith Sr. of Harwich Port. She was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Clifford “Kip” Butterworth and Mildred (Fantom) Butterworth. Carol was a resident of Raynham before moving to Harwich Port in 2007. She attended Raynham and Taunton schools and a graduate of Bridgewater State College with her Master’s Degree in education. She was a teacher for the Town of Bridgewater until her retirement. Following her retirement, Carol enjoyed traveling with her husband which included many trips to Europe, Ireland, and river cruises. She also loved going to the Bridgeton, Maine area where she attended Bridgeton Academy. You could find her on most summer days at the beach reading and conversing with friends. She cherished her time with family and looked forward to holidays and family gatherings, and of course dining out and cooking for her family in her younger years. In addition to her husband Michael, Carol leaves her beloved children: Kevin Wade and his wife Linda of Taunton, Jeffrey Wade and his wife Pamela of Harwich, and Stephen Wade and his wife Elizabeth of Dighton, her step children: Michael Keith Jr. and wife Kendra Halifax and Donna Strobel of S.C. She was the sister of the late Ronald Butterworth. Carol leaves her loving grandchildren: Jeffrey Wade, Samantha Musallam, Melissa Balboni, Brandon Wade, Gabriella Wade and Harrison Wade, step grandchildren: Timothy Blake, Casey and Melody Schobel, Matthew, Adam, and Megan Keith and the late Anthony Lamore, and several great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham on Wednesday, February 12th at 11 am. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
