Brian Melvin Lewis, age 78, passed away on February 23rd after a short illness. Mr. Lewis was born in 1947 in Worcester, Massachusetts and later moved with his family to Taunton where he graduated from Taunton High with the Class of 1967. Brian retired from Wrentham State School as a stationary fireman and spent his free time collecting movie and music memorabilia. His love of movies, soundtracks, motorcycles, hot rods, UFO’s and anything James Dean was an enormous part of his life as his family, friends, and neighbors are all well aware. Besides work and collecting, Brian spent many years volunteering at St Vincent DePaul which brought him joy. He is survived by his wife Rosemary(Gagne) and sister Paula(Lewis) Burgoyne. Brian also leaves two step children and their spouses, 2 step grandchildren, his beloved sister-in-law Priscilla, the whole Gagne family, as well as his nieces and nephews, Luke, Eric, Erin, Becky, Ruth, their spouses, and children. He is predeceased by his parents Ann (McCabe) and Melvin Lewis, his brothers David and Mark Lewis, and his brother-in-laws John and Edmund Gagne. Brian will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Calling hours will be held at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton, Monday, March 23rd from 2-4 PM with a service to be held at 3:30 PM. Interment will be private..
