Barbara Oliveira

In Taunton, Barbara Oliveira, age 88, passed away at home peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on January 30, 2026. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late George Adams and Emma (Bobet) Adams. Barbara lived most of her life in Raynham and was formerly of Taunton. She was educated in Taunton schools, a graduate of Taunton High School and later from Boston University. She was employed at Reed and Barton Silver Company in Taunton for over 40 years and also worked at Longmeadow Nursing Home for over 20 years. Barbara enjoyed traveling, knitting, playing tennis and bowling, was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, never met an animal she didn't love and spending time with her cherished family. Barbara is survived by her daughter Janice Oliveira and her partner Allen Read of Taunton, and son George Oliveira and his wife Dawn of Raynham, and her beloved grandson Bradley Oliveira. A graveside service will be held at the North Cemetery on Bridge St. in Raynham on Thursday, February 12th at 11 am. After the graveside service Barbara's family are inviting relatives and friends back to the American Legion Post 405, 291 Mill Street in Raynham. Visiting hours are kindly omitted.
