In Brockton, Arlene Bombardier, age 88, passed away peacefully following a brief illness at Good Samaritan Hospital on January 16, 2024. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Felix Ahearn and Anna (McCarron) Ohearn. A resident of Raynham and Taunton the past 60 years, Arlene was formerly of Avon and Maine. She was a former employee of the Paul E. Dever State School, working there for 25 years. Arlene was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed having fun. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Gilbert and her husband Stephen of Hanover, and her late daughter Linda Bombardier-Beaudet. She also leaves her grandchildren; Joseph Cormier of San Diego, CA, and Shauna Cormier of Destin, FL. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and she was predeceased by her siblings; Aloysius Ahearn, Helen Zarella, Raymond Ahearn, Francis Ahearn, Jamie Ahearn, Eugene Ahearn, and Joseph Ahearn. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, Jan. 22nd from 9:30-10:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11:30 am.
