Ann Marie Cowan

The family of Ann Marie Cowan is saddened to announce her unexpected passing at the age of 73 on April 16, 2025. Ann was born in East Taunton and was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Driscoll) Murphy and was the wife of the late Alva “Bob” Cowan. Ann Marie was a resident of East Taunton for nearly 57 years, moving to Raynham 16 years ago. A graduate of both Coyle Cassidy High School and Bridgewater State University, Ann Started her career in teaching in the Taunton Public School System then transitioning to roles in Information Technology and Support Services in her later career before retiring several years ago. A lifelong devout Catholic, she was a long time parishioner of Holy Family Parish in East Taunton, and more recently of St. Anne’s Parish in Raynham. She was kind, compassionate, caring, loving and supportive and always assisted whenever and wherever she could. She enjoyed Family gatherings and parties, going out to eat, shopping, and socializing with her group of friends. She leaves a sister in law Janet Murphy of East Taunton, a nephew Dan Murphy of Lakeville and a large extended family who will miss her greatly. Ann was also the sister of the late Peter F. Murphy of East Taunton. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, April 30th from 9-10:15 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11 am. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
