Ann Unger

In Lakeville, Ann Unger, age 85, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her loving family on July 10, 2026. Ann was the wife of the late Leonard Unger. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Owen McCarthy and Helen (Slevin) McCarthy. Ann was educated in Taunton schools and later a graduate of Bristol Community College with her registered nurse degree. She resided in Taunton most of her life and Lakeville the past ten years. Ann worked for Taunton State Hospital, Paul E. Dever State School, and Bridgewater State Hospital in Bridgewater. She enjoyed shopping, visiting Florida, knitting, puzzles, and above all cherished her time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren Kacie and Ryan. Ann is survived by her loving children Colleen Alley of Lakeville, Gerald “Jerry” Mullen of Attleboro, and Kerry King and her husband Christopher of Lakeville. She also leaves her sister Mary Ripley of Taunton, and the late Kay Dupont, Jean McCarthy, Isabelle Butler, Margaret Unger, and Owen McCarthy, and grandchildren Kacie and Ryan. Funeral from the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, July 16th at 11 am. A Graveside service will be held at Bourne National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
