Ann L Thomas

In Watertown, New York, Ann Thomas age 83, passed away at Samaritan Summit Village where she lived since 2022 after a period of failing health, while surrounded by her loving family on 5 February 2026. Ann is the wife of the late Robert A Thomas of 36 Oak Ave Taunton. She was born in Dighton, the daughter of the late Edward S. Gotham and Gertrude (Frazier) Gotham. Ann was a lifetime resident of the Taunton community. She is most noted for her work as a registered nurse (RN), working 20 years at Morton Hospital in both the surgical and medical areas and later another 20 until her retirement as a nurse in the Old GAR and Taylor Buildings for a oncology practice. A devoted catholic Ann was equally instrumental in serving others through her faith as a member of St. Andrews (formerly St Josephs) in Taunton. Ann is the first to receive the coveted Saint Marion Medal for her work as a Eucharist Minister, Chair Person for the Penny Sale and member of the Catholic Charities and 100th Anniversary Celebration for St Joseph’s Church. Ann enjoyed caring for others and time with her family and friends, a love of music, theatre and sports Ann did it all to include walking in the Boston Marathon’s half marathon twice. Ann leaves her beloved child Michael and her daughter-in-law Julie of Evans Mills NY. She is survived by her sister Jane Thomas of Raynham. Ann also leaves her loving grandchildren: Jeremy Thomas of Evans Mills and Joshua Thomas and his partner Tyler of Garrison, NY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday 12 February 2026 from 4-7 pm. Funeral from O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home on Friday, February. 13th at 10am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew’s Church in Taunton at 11 am. Interment St Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
