Allan L. Campbell, Jr, age 69, of Norton, MA passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in Brigham and Women’s Hospital on January 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born and raised in Taunton, Allan was the son of the late Allan L. Campbell Sr. and Jeanne (Donnelly) Campbell Walker. A graduate of Taunton High School Class of 1973, Allan went on to briefly travel after high school before settling back in MA to start his career in construction. Allan was a proud member of the New England Carpenters Union earning recognition for long term employment with his company Walsh Construction.
Allan, also known around town as “Hoss”, enjoyed working with his hands, doing projects around his house or for others. He enjoyed camping, fishing on his lake, golfing, and spending time with his many friends in the community. For many of his younger years, Allan played in the men’s softball league with local friends. He will be remembered by his love for his family, especially his three grandchildren whom he adored. He was always there if you needed a hand to fix something and will be greatly missed by all.
Allan is survived by his mother Jeanne Campbell Walker of Taunton; His daughter Ali Pratti and her husband Marc of Bridgewater; His three grandchildren Taytum, Lilah and Austin all of Bridgewater; His siblings Carole Roy of Taunton, Robert “Sandy” Campbell and his wife Cheryl of Taunton, Jeanne Quinn and her husband Kevin of Taunton, Ted Campbell and his partner Donna Comegys of Jacksonville, FL, Timothy Campbell and his wife Kimberley of Taunton, Kerry Hebert and her husband Timothy of Taunton. He is also survived by his former wife Eileen Campbell and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Allan was also the stepson of the late Emery Walker and stepbrother of Robert Walker and Cheryl Walker Katz.
Funeral from the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, January 15th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
