Alan Willis

In Taunton, Alan Harvey Willis, age 74, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 11, 2025. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Brayton Perry Willis Sr. and Adele Jeanne (Wolowicz) Willis. Alan was a lifetime resident of Taunton. He graduated from Taunton High School, class of 1969 and attended Providence College, Massasoit Community College and Bridgewater State University. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam War while in the U.S. Navy and also his community of Taunton as a distinguished firefighter and retired as a Lieutenant. Rated as an expert scuba diver, over the years he enjoyed both diving and fishing on his boat. Alan is survived by his brother Brayton Willis Jr. and his wife Debbie of N.C. and his nieces Kimberly (Willis) Rapoza and her husband Charles of Venice, FL, Kristina (Willis) Jackson of Plymouth, MA, and nephew Brayton Willis III of Taunton, Grandniece Sophia Jackson, Grandnephew Ben Willis as well as several cousins. A service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday, March 26th at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-7 PM. Interment National Cemetery in Bourne, MA following the service on Wednesday at 1:15 PM.
